- Musical chameleon David Bowie first appeared on the British rock scene with a self-titled 1967 debut that featured singer-songwriter folk music typical of its era. It wasn´t until 1969´s Space Oddity and 1970´s The Who Sold The World that Bowie began displaying glimpses of the unique, hard-rocking glam sound that would further develop on 1971´s Hunky Dory and fully blossom on 1972´s seminal The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars INSIDE BOWIE AND THE SPIDERS: 1969-1972 traces the progression of Bowie´s revolutionary sound during these critical years through interviews with former band members Trevor Bolder and Woody Woodmansey, behind-the-scenes archival footage, and rare live performances of classics "Space Oddity", "Changes", "Oh! You Pretty Things", "Life on Mars", "Queen Bitch", "Starman" and "John, I´m Only Dancing".
