- Based on the humorous 1994 novel by John Birmingham, He Died With a Felafel In His Hand is just as quirky as its name suggests. Set in various parts of Australia´s east coast, the film stars Noah Taylor as Danny, a 30-something-year-old wanderer drifting through life one town, girlfriend, and job at a time. Danny´s wild experiences in each location form stories unto themselves, and also add up to a larger whole. The resulting offbeat narrative takes a comic look at the themes and the universal search for life´s meaning.
